The Graham Carpentry Lakefield Chiefs hosted the Picton Pirates on Tuesday, September 23, at the Lakefield Smith Community Centre, with 220 fans in attendance. In a penalty filled contest Chiefs skated away with a 7–4 victory.
Lucas Legault led the offense with two goals and an assist, while Will Corcoran and Charlie Blewett each contributed a goal and two assists. Owen Thake also added a goal and two helpers. Rounding out the scoring were Alex Whitney with a goal and an assist, and Ethan Yantha with one goal. Jack Ryan and Owen Hartwick chipped in with single assists.
Goaltender Ibrahim Tahir turned aside 22 of 26 shots to earn the win.
The Chiefs are back in action on Friday, September 26, when they head to Napanee to face the Raiders at 7:25 p.m.
